Accessibility Advisory Committee - Public Consultation Meeting

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury (BWG) and the Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) invite members of the public to participate in a Public Consultation to provide feedback on accessibility in the community. This consultation is held pursuant to Sections 41(2), 79(1), 80.8, 80.19, 80.29, and 80.39 of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR) 191/11.

The consultation will focus on all matters related to accessibility under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), including, but not limited to:

  • Transportation services
  • On-street parking spaces
  • Recreational trails
  • Outdoor play spaces
  • Rest areas
  • Exterior paths of travel

Participation Options:

  • Verbal comments: Provide feedback during the consultation.
  • Written comments: Submit written feedback at the consultation or in advance via accessibility@townofbwg.com
  • Online survey: Share your input in advance by completing the Accessibility Survey: https://www.townofbwg.com/en/town-hall/town-hall-accessibility.aspx
  • Members of the public may also participate virtually via Zoom:  Accessibility Advisory Committee Zoom Meeting  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85197663800

This consultation provides an opportunity for community members, including people with disabilities, caregivers, and other stakeholders, to share their perspectives and help shape accessibility initiatives within the Town. Feedback received will help inform the Town’s 2025–2030 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan, which outlines strategies and actions to improve accessibility across municipal services, facilities, and programs.
